AGENDA DAY 1

Event Program

Learn more about the outstanding ecosystem and collaborative spirit in the Medical Science City of Graz.
In informal interviews, we will introduce you to a selection of scientists, researchers and industry partners at the ZWT – Center for Knowledge & Technology Transfer in Medicine and explore the special way they work closely together. Above all, the idea is to network and to find opportunities for collaboration all while enjoying a hearty late breakfast.

Please note that you must check the box “Pre-Opening” in your personal agenda if you wish to take part in this Breakfast event, as we can only accommodate a limited number of participants.

VENUE: ZWT Accelerator – Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer in Medicine II

A warm welcome and quick & easy registration for the event.

We want to explore the visions and utopias of the future healthcare market and so we will ask our stakeholders from politics, healthcare and business the challenging question – where will we be in 10 years time in their opinion, what about in 50 years?

Introduction to the Health Tech Hub Styria 2024 and to the highlights over the next two days.

Innovation through collaboration, from metabolic medicine to nano-medicine to AI based tools. We will take you on a journey covering different disciplines enabling the future of diagnostics and therapy.

Enjoy some refreshments & informal networking.

Meet potential partners from Austria, the Alps Adriatic Region and beyond in pre-booked meetings powered by the Enterprise Europe Network.

Learn more about the kind of mindset a corporate has when it comes to driving innovation. What are the hot topics and when does a start-up come into the picture, based on the experience of Novartis. What is essential to initiate exchange and to finally enter into cooperation?

We will introduce you to highly innovative MedTech start-ups from various medical application areas and discuss with stakeholders from the healthcare system how the last few meters to a successful implementation can be mastered.

Our partner from the greater Paris region MIMS (La Maison de l’Innovation de la Médecine Spécialisée) will give us an insight into a unique European project with clinicians, medical practices and industry partners, in which highly innovative solutions can be tested for routine use in a real-life setting.

In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, the disparity in technological adoption, often referred to as the ‘digital skill gap’, presents a critical challenge for healthtech. Considering the rising number of aging users, developers need to integrate the needs and coping strategies of older adults into a user innovation process to develop with and not for an aging population.

Conclusions of the first day & a preview of upcoming highlights.

Meet potential partners from Austria, the Alps Adriatic Region and beyond. Enjoy your meeting in a relaxed setting with refreshments.
Powered by the Enterprise Europe Network.

Our French partner MIMS cordially invites you to conclude the evening with music and cocktails at a French Night on the floating Island on the river Mur in the center of Graz.

Please note that you must check the box “French Night…” in your personal agenda if you wish to attend, as we can only accommodate a limited number of participants.

Thank you for your participation!

AGENDA DAY 2

Event Program

Quick and easy registration for the event.

After the pandemic, there is once again enough money to invest in exciting start-ups. However, investors have become much more selective and it has not become any easier to secure the money needed. The key question is what really makes a project or a startup interesting for investors to put their money into it?

We will hear the incredible story of a company that has achieved a successful exit.

Don‘t miss the market. Success stories for medical devices – we want to share with you extraordinary experiences and challenges to be accepted.

Get to know a MedTech company that, with the right strategic partner, has not only managed to further develop its technology but has also found an unexpected and completely new market.

Enjoy a short coffee break & inspiring talks.

Don’t miss the opportunity to once again meet with potential partners from Austria, the Alps Adriatic Region and beyond in pre-booked meetings powered by the Enterprise Europe Network.

Together with our expert panel, let´s explore innovative strategies for entering the healthcare market in the Alps Adriatic Region. From navigating regulatory challenges to leveraging the potential of this healthcare powerhouse we will take a deep dive into the unique opportunities within this region.

In this post-Covid time, we need to think beyond borders across Europe. In this session, we want to highlight our neighboring regions with their special areas of strength and, above all, nurture contacts with them.

Final Conclusions & introduction to the guided tours in the Medical Science City of Graz.

Enjoy some refreshment and gather energy for the guided tours you have selected or for your journey home.
