Lars Kamolz
Prof. Lars-Peter Kamolz M.D., M.Sc. studied at the Medical University in Vienna. He is a Board-Certified Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgeon (ÖGPÄRC). In 2012, he became Professor for Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Division of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, Department of Surgery, Medical University of Graz and Head of the Division of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, Department of Surgery, Medical University of Graz, Austria. Furthermore, he is the Head of the Research Unit for Safety and Sustainability in Healthcare and Deputy Chief Medical Officer of the LKH-University Hospital in Graz. Since 2018 he is also Director of COREMED – Cooperative centre for regenerative Medicine at Joanneum Research Forschungsgesellschaft mbH. He is a Certified Quality Manager, EOQ Quality Systems Manager, Certified Risk Manager, EFQM Assessor and Auditor for Quality Management Systems. His research focus is Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, Burn Care, Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering, Ageing, Quality and Risk Management, Health Literacy and Sustainability. He is editor and member of the Review Board of several international Journals, author of more than 230 peer reviewed articles and editor of several books and book chapters. He has received several awards from different scientific organisations for his scientific work.

Emma Somerville graduated from Dublin City University with a degree in Applied Languages. After graduation, she worked in multilingual positions in the software industry before moving into an account management role in the localisation sector managing large projects comprising remote and onsite teams. A few years after a geographical move to Graz, Austria also saw a move from the private sector to the semi-state Styrian Business Promotion Agency SFG. Here her focus is on innovation and she is also part of the team of the Enterprise Europe Network – the world’s largest support network for SMEs who wish to innovate and grow internationally.
